Description
General description
Sulfuric acid is a strong mineral acid. It participates as a
medium in the anodic oxidation of aniline at a platinum electrode. Anodic
oxidation has been reported to proceed via a free radical mechanism and octamer
emeraldimine has been obtained as a major product.[1]
Application
Sulfuric acid solution has been used as a solvent for the
preparation of 1M xylenol orange and 2.5mM ammonium ferrous sulfate solution in
a study.[2]
